“The holidays are great for restaurants if you are open already but it’s hard to open in the middle of them,” says Pete Toarmina, who is co-owner along with sisters Mary Sheko, Rose Tolson and their spouses.
The restaurant is already getting requests for reservations for groups as large as 50.
Although construction is moving quickly, they are still waiting on the liquor license.
Completed renovations to date include new floors, new furniture and decorations, new ceramic tiled pizza area and a new beer system.
Renovations still to be completed include installing the exhaust system for the pizza oven, moving in the equipment and putting up the signage, which may have to go in front of City Council for approval.
