Family Farm and Home includes departments such as tools, hardware, automotive, pet, work and casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food and lawn and garden.
The store plans to begin renovations of its 42,000 square feet of space by the end of June and is looking to open by August, according to the Standard report. About 14,000 square feet of the space is available for another tenant.
Founded in 2002, the Michigan-based Family Farm and Home operates 20 stores in the state and one in Indiana.

I was hoping for a store like Target or Meijers. We need a store in Chelsea that has reasonible priced clothing for the family.

I was just told today as a matter of fact that Pamida in Tecumseh and Brooklyn will be closed soon and opened as a Shopco. Was told all Pamidas will be turned into "Shopco". I have never heard of this department store but clerk said they are like small Targets.

Sounds like a good match for a farm community. I shopped at Pamida some. Never had a complaint about it.
