Yes, you're the only one. I don't even know what "Frito Bandito" is.

The name of the restaurant is FRITA BATIDOS. I can't say anything more, because I'll get moderated again for some bizarre reason. But let us discuss the restaurant using its correct name, please.

bedrog, I'm aware that the "bandita" is a Cuban food item, but say the words out loud without thinking of "Frito Bandito"! It is clearly a pun on the earlier offensive phrase. Anyway, I was just surprised that no one pointed it out, because living now in a highly Hispanic city in the Southwest (52% of our residents), I KNOW she'd never get a customer, and would probably get pickets around the place--Cuban food excuse or not! Anyway, I don't want to be the Saint of Political Correctness, and no has died, so let's forget it!

lovaduck...re your question "am i the only one who thinks...".??.. evidently, since the 2nd word in the restaurants name is not 'bandito' at all ,but refers to a cuban food item. I applaud a local star of a tough field who pulls off its creative and managerial demands with skill and class. Good luck to Eve on the new venture and , hopefully, a reopening of the original ...and also hope she gets gets a 2nd chance at TOP CHEF to show what she's capable of ( which at her worst is far better than that creepy 'marcel').

Am I the only one that thinks that Frita Bandita's (derived from the infamously offensive "Frito Bandito" commercials of several years ago, is a name offensive to Hispanic Americans?

The name of the restaurant is Frita Batidos ... Not "Bandita's or Bandito's" It basically means burger and milkshakes.
