Dexter Council OKs outdoor seating at Aubree's; outdoor alcohol permit pending
Diners at Aubree’s Pizzeria & Tavern in Dexter may soon be allowed to sit outside and consume alcohol following unanimous approval of the Village Council.
The new restaurant, which opened two weeks ago in the Monument Park Building downtown, is awaiting state approval for the outside alcohol request.
The restaurant at 8031 Main St. has met the village’s requirements for outdoor seating but still needs the approval of the state’s Liquor Control Commission to serve alcohol in the outdoor area, which is located on the village’s right of way. Council gave its approval Monday night.
The Dexter restaurant is the sixth for the restaurant chain and is open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-midnight.

I was just there last Friday drinking an Oberon and listening to the music in the park. Was I breaking the law by drinking on the patio along with a dozen other people? We had to buy from the bar and then go out so we weren't being served on the patio but we were drinking alcohol.
