CEO Podcasts: Conversations on Economic Opportunity, Mayor John Hieftje
Ann Arbor SPARK CEO Podcasts: Conversations on Economic Opportunity capture the flavor of my one-on-one conversations with over one hundred key economic leaders in the region, including private sector CEOs, elected and appointed public sector leaders, and the executive leadership of key non-profit and academic institutions. The podcast series is designed to not only highlight that expertise, but also make it available to others who could benefit from the wisdom those business leaders can share.
Mayor John Hieftje has been a citizen of the Ann Arbor area for many years. Hieftje attended Ann Arbor Pioneer High School and Eastern Michigan University where he earned a B.S. in political science. Since 2000, Hieftje, who is a lecturer at the Ford School of Public Policy, has served as the Mayor of Ann Arbor.
Mayor Hieftje serves on many of the region’s non-profits, including Recycle Ann Arbor, Michigan Theatre, Huron River Watershed Council, and the Washtenaw Metro Alliance. He also serves on the board of directors for Ann Arbor SPARK.
In my conversation with Mayor Hieftje, we discuss his vision for Ann Arbor's future.
