Bank of Ann Arbor officially opens first Saline branch
The Bank of Ann Arbor’s new downtown Saline office held its official ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday morning, opening the new branch at 179 E. Michigan Ave.
The new branch in Saline replaces a former Bank of America branch at the same location.

“We are excited to bring the personal service that Bank of Ann Arbor is known for to businesses and residents of Saline,” Timothy Marshall, President and CEO, Bank of Ann Arbor, said in a statement.
Bank of Ann Arbor remodeled a former Bank of America branch to include sit-down teller stations and a “cybercafe.” The cafe will feature coffee from Saline’s Drowsy Parrot coffee shop which plays a role in one of Bank of Ann Arbor’s TV ads, in which a “non-local banker” thinks the Drowsy Parrot a wrestling move.
“The design of this banking center is similar to our Ellsworth and Traver Village offices,” Marshall said in a statement.
“…The traditional branch with teller cages and dark paneling has been replaced with a light, open environment that invites people to linger, ask questions and learn how we can help grow Saline and the surrounding areas.”
After a busy 2012 that included being named AnnArbor.com’s company of the year, the Bank of Ann Arbor has gotten off to a fast start in 2013. Earlier in January the bank acquired equipment-leasing company Ervin Leasing.
