The owners of the downtown Ann Arbor-based business were named finalists Tuesday to open in the Old Fire Hall in Fenton, the report said.

An emphasis on community involvement was what set Arbor Brewing and fellow finalist Clarkston Union apart, Fenton Downtown Development Authority officials told MLive.

Owners Matt and Rene Greff are one of four business owners who submitted proposals to redevelop the old Fire Hall, which has been vacant since the fire department moved in 2002.

Rene Greff told the DDA during an interview today that they want to put a brewery, restaurant and lounge into the building. Read about Arbor Brewing's proposal here.

Hey JBurdock - it's called the Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti. Look it up.

As a Fenton resident, they would be welcomed.....I hope it happens, that building has been standing idle for too long....
