Vault of Midnight, an Ann Arbor comic book store that opened nearly two decades ago, is opening a second location in downtown Grand Rapids, MLive reports.

Owners Curtis Sullivan, his wife Elizabeth DellaRocco and business partner Steve Fodale are hoping to open the shop in September before Grand Rapids' ArtPrize event.

Sullivan told MLive that the location of the Grand Rapids storefront, at 95 Monroe Center, reminds him of Vault of Midnight's downtown Ann Arbor block. The store opened in its current location at 219 S. Main St. in 2006 after being founded in 1996.

“It’s a similar mix of restaurants and retail that you might not suspect would work well with a comic book store," he said.

Good for them. I'm very happy to see a local small business doing well enough to expand.
