Amish Tables has been part of the Ann Arbor community since opening 15 years ago, but recently has relocated its showroom to a larger space in Plymouth. The store moved from it's original location at 4844 Jackson Road in Ann Arbor Township to 236 Main St. in Plymouth,.

“We were looking in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas, our new location had what we needed: more square footage for storage and a larger showroom… and an actual storefront on Main Street was a bonus as well,” said Torie Wyant, marketing coordinator for Amish Tables.

The new location offers far greater visibility than the old warehouse location on Jackson Road. In Plymouth, the Amish Tables’ showroom has a centrally located “Design Center” where clients can work with staff to select custom made furniture. Wyant said the move already has attracted an increase in foot traffic and sales since opening on May 17.

Wyant said the company has hired an additional sales associate since the move, and they continue to focus on offering handmade wood furniture from 30 Amish builders.

Amish Tables is a family-owned business founded and based in Ann Arbor.

Wyant said the decision to move out of Ann Arbor was a difficult one for the Narowski family. Owner Nell, and son John Paul, maintain an Ann Arbor office to work from and split their time between there and the Plymouth location.

Wyant said the business plans to maintain connections to the community through the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce, and will miss the support Ann Arbor lends to small local business through organizations like Think Local First.
