Journalists, bloggers invited to take online skills training survey
The Online News Association is partnering with AnnArbor.com to offer a full day of free, intensive hands-on training for journalists and bloggers in October.
The training is offered as part of ONA's new Parachute Training Initiative, funded by the Gannett Foundation. It will take place in Ann Arbor, and dates and location will be announced as soon as they are determined.
The sessions will focus on new media skills and are aimed at journalists -- whether employed with news organizations, working independently or recently laid off or bought out -- as well as citizen journalists and bloggers.
The sessions, some conducted in partnership with the Poynter Institute, will target the specific needs of digital journalists and bloggers, and we need your help to put together the best possible training program.
ONA is offering an online survey to find out what kind of training would benefit you. Please take the survey by Monday, Sept. 14. The 10 minutes you spend will go a long way in helping us address your needs.
If you have any questions, you can send an e-mail to ONA.
