Recipe: Spinach salad with strawberries and feta
The combination of strawberries and balsamic vinegar is a classic. Make the salad extra special by using Michigan strawberries and locally grown spinach.
Yield: 6-8 servings
Time: 5 minutes (to slice the strawberries)
- 10 ounces fresh baby spinach leaves, washed and spun dry
- 10 ounces strawberries, washed and sliced
- 4 ounces crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4-1/2 bottle (4-6 ounces) your favorite fruity dressing
Toss together spinach, strawberries and feta. Season to taste with salad dressing, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.
